Theatre Hire: bring your show to the Circle & Star

An evening in front of an audience. You bring a show, we open the doors, and the box office is the point. Two relationships to the room — pick the one that matches how much of it you want us in.

Dry Hire+ is for artists who want to retain independence but recognise the value of being seen within the Circle & Star ecosystem. A layer of visibility, without changing ownership.

Circle & Star adds
  • Your booking, live — every Dry Hire+ comes with its own private client portal: box office and sales data as they happen, your schedule and order, asset storage, and a conversation with the team that stays on the page rather than scattering across inboxes
  • Inclusion in the public-facing programme on circleandstar.com
  • Tickets via C&S Ticket Tailor — a credible, consistent booking URL
  • A designed show card in the C&S identity
  • @circleandstartheatre campaign — post, story, schedule link
  • Inclusion in the monthly house-list email
  • Priority rebooking — first refusal on preferred future dates
The artist remains
  • Creatively independent — the work is yours, start to finish
  • Commercially responsible — 100% of the net box office is yours
  • The point of contact for audience and press
  • We'll need a short biography, a high-resolution image (min 1500px), and a show description. 4–6 weeks ahead; within 48hrs if the show is under a month away.

Presents is where the relationship changes completely — a shared creative and commercial commitment between the artist and Circle & Star. The show becomes part of our programme. The audience is built collaboratively. The outcome is shared.

Daytime · Events · Private Booking

The room itself, without a public audience. No tickets, no box office — you book the building for a stretch of time and pay for the time. Rehearse and teach in it by day, or take it privately for a shoot, a launch or an evening of your own.

Read-throughs, rehearsals, development sessions, workshops and courses, technical calls — and on-location filming, brand launches and corporate days. Same room, same infrastructure, same standard, with the daytime quiet of Hampstead around it.

What's included
  • Full building access for the confirmed session
  • House sound, lighting, projection at standard operational level
  • Piano available on request
  • Heating, air conditioning, all five bathrooms
  • The daytime window runs 9:30am to 5:30pm — a full day is up to those eight hours, a half day up to four of them, access to vacate. FOH and tech operator arrangeable at cost.

Independent & Small-Scale
For small businesses, personal projects and productions working with limited budgets.
Half day £350 · full day £475
Commercial & Production
For corporate clients, on-location filming and brand launches.
Half day £550 · full day £750
Half day is up to 4 hours, full day up to 8. Additional time is charged at £65 per hour. A closed working session holds up to 25 in the building, doors shut; a day with a crew, an invited party or filming for release holds up to 55.

Event · private hire

Circle & Star, May 2026 — the SKYE BISHOP · FEELINGS residency. Each night a variant on a theme: audience and outcomes. Over 330 people. A conversation versus a cold launch.

Hire Out · events & private use

A brand launch. A private screening. A salon evening.

The room on its terms, not a show's. A cinematic, intimate, character-filled space for non-theatre use — evening, or the whole building for the day. A shoot or a brand day that fits inside the daytime window, on its own, is simpler and cheaper as a Commercial & Production daytime hire above.

Ongoing masterclass training

Training, learning and development in a proper theatre — a historic building in the heart of Hampstead, given over to you for the day. Arrival is part of it: people walk in knowing the day matters. And with fifty-five seats there is no back row, so every attendee is close enough to take part rather than watch.
